Many students are returning to school without the very basics: backpacks and school supplies.
Two local organizations, We Care Eau Claire and Valley Vineyard Church Chippewa Falls, have organized massive giveaways of these items in mid-August, but rely on faith and the support of their community to make sure they actually have enough to fill every need, as they serve literally thousands of students and their families.
In addition, there are countless impoverished children in Liberia, many of whom have lost one or both parents. Quality education seems out of reach. Teamwork Africa works tirelessly to bring these precious kids hope, through their “Starfish Kids Scholars” program. Their motto: “It makes a difference to one.”

Backpacks Given So Far!

Valley Vineyard Church: checks can be made out to the church with "School Supplies" in the memo line. Their address is 910 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
For "We Care Eau Claire,” donations can be made through a participating church or made payable to “We Care Eau Claire” with the memo note: “Event Donation.”
Checks can be mailed or dropped off at Prevail Bank, 2225 Fairfax St. Eau Claire, WI 54701. Please be sure to include donor’s contact information for receipts.
